Geoffrey Gold, M.A., is a doctoral candidate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, working towards his PhD in clinical psychology. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Hofstra University. Geoffrey's training and experience includes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). He incorporates his personal experience with mindfulness and other contemplative practices to help clients cultivate richness, vitality, and meaning in their lives. His current research focuses on the development of interventions related to perspective taking and compassion. Geoffrey is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Association for Contextual Behavior Science.
