Racheli Miller MA - Psychology Extern


Racheli (Rena) Miller, M.A. is a doctoral candidate at the Clinical Psychology Program at Adelphi University’s Derner School of Psychology. She has worked as a therapist for a diverse range of client populations in varied clinical settings, including New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center-Westchester Division, Queens Hospital Center’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department, the Center for Psychological Services at the Derner School of Psychology, Iona College Counseling Center, and the Veteran Affairs St. Albans Community Living Center. Her training encompasses a broad number of modalities, including ACT, CFT, psychodynamic, CBT, existential, and DBT approaches. Racheli was also a fellow at Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She has taught undergraduate psychology and was an academic advisor for psychology majors. Racheli has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at conferences on perfectionism, self-criticism, trauma, and therapeutic process and technique. She is passionate about advancing the science and practice of compassion through her clinical work and research at the Center for Compassion-Focused Therapy and beyond.
