Life as Practice:
Connecting Skills to Everyday Stressors and Trauma

Life as Practice

Trauma-related beliefs and bodily-sensations can often show up in the midst of engaging with what matters most to us. Effective nervous system and emotion regulation strategies are difficult enough to implement in moments of ease, let alone applying them when they are needed most. This group is designed for participants who have taken prior TTR Groups or individuals who have worked in their own individual therapy to establish these skills.

This third phase of our TTR group curriculum is designed to help individuals implement effective emotion/nervous system regulation skills, trouble-shoot difficulties that arise, and connect with others who may share in similar experiences. Participants will practice strategies from Compassion-Focused ACT (CF-ACT) and EMDR with a strong focus on themes including values, committed action, creativity, identity, and connection.
